All Of The Parts

A poem I wrote to help out a friend in his relationship. And boy, it worked... One of my first major triumphs as a poet... :D

I remember those days our love was deep,
How we kissed under starlit skies,
Both so in love our hearts would race
Just gazing in the other one's eyes.

Not since your touch have I felt so alive,
Or so scared you might disappear,
Time has passed us by quickly,
What I have feared is now here.

Parts of me have to still live in your mind,
Perhaps memories faded and old,
Kept for those nights you lay by yourself
Feeling so lonely and cold.

If only I could find my way once again
To come and hand you my heart,
But both of us know it's in pieces
And I can't find all of the parts...
